Heather Pentz facilitates drum circles
in Halifax & across the Maritimes
Becoming a drum circle facilitator wasn’t part of my plan. The drum chose me. My professional career began in health care. I was a registered dietitian, working for many years in hospitals in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
In the mid-1980s I started freelancing as a consultant in personal wellness management. Blending passion with making a living was challenging and elusive. When I rather impulsively bought my first drum in 1999, I had no idea that my life would be forever changed.
Since then, I have made drumming a big part of my life. I even traveled to California to learn about drumming for health and well-being from some of the world’s best.
My love of drumming and the joy it brings has blossomed into meaningful, enjoyable work that is of great benefit to others. It’s exciting to help people discover their unknown rhythms using the drum. It’s natural for me.
Ever mindful of the body-mind-spirit connection, I am dedicated to exploring soul through drum and dance. My drum circle facilitation business, Tidal Beat, is based near Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and serves the Maritimes.
Come drum with me!
